This cosy old inn is steeped in the character of Blackshore fishermen of yonder year and the memorabilia they’ve left behind. It has two cosy wood-panelled bars, which are unusually on two floors – this adds to the experience.
Our nautical themed top bar has wood burning stove and an interesting range of nautical objects. You can follow the historical journey of this infamous pub through the pictures, photographs and memorabilia situated all around. Meanwhile the adjacent fishing shed, once known as the ‘Net Shed’ has been converted into a bright and airy dining space providing outstanding views over The River Blyth and Southwold marshes. There is also some seating outside.
Due to its unique location, flooding can be an issue during winter months so come prepared with your wellies!
